The third and last instalment of Girls & Ghosts before the short stories collection comes out, this is a story about a girl who never speaks up but has the strongest voice of all. I wrote it for Katrina’s victims, for the devastation the storm left behind…
The ebook is available at Amazon
Shadowmen wait around every corner to feed on her fear…
Stuck working at the family food truck for the summer, Sukhi cannot wait to rid herself from the eau de Cajun spices that haunt her every step – like the headaches that come with each storm. Storms that bring moving shadows that turn into men who want something from her.
Here’s her choice: family voodoo or lose the fight. Trinkets, Evil eye and dolls made of strings, Sukhi never believed in but now absorbs every bit of knowledge her grandmother gives. Yet it comes with a price. The old woman’s life essence drains little by little every time Sukhi learns something new.
And so begins the race against time to truly be part of the family before her grandmother’s last breath.
Stay spooked, peeps:)
We all have some bucket list written somewhere of things we’d like to accomplish before we die. Mine isn’t that long, which makes each entry even more meaningful. Like this one…
Sirens Call publishes a monthly eZine, and their February issue exclusively promotes the work of women in horror. For years I’ve been trying to get my stories in that particular anthology and this year it finally happened. Yes, KILL THE GIRL is among an amazing array of incredible work by some known and lesser known authors and I am thrilled!
Funny how I got to write this flash fiction: this was the beginning chapter of my next series coming out, Whispered Echoes. Back then, the genre was YA thriller and the inspiration came from a dream – actually, it’s a word for word capture of this nightmare I had, maybe 3 years ago. And now, it’s published in Sirens Call!!
So here is a FREE COPY of the anthology! It’s worth checking out, awesomeness oozes from the pages:)
Stay spooked, peeps.
There’s almost nothing like the rush of pressing PUBLISH on a new title – it comes this close to THE END, for me. Especially when a story turns out exactly like I want, with the voice it needs, and the message it has to share. My stories are never easy, and this one is not different.
This is Melancholy of Souls, the second in the Girls & Ghosts novella collection. It’s about fighting for what’s right, how to keep love and the memories alive, and what to do once you reach the end of the road.
I wish it was different, but this is how I see the future: people will find a way to use ghosts even more than they are now (you know those shows? yeah, I’m talking about them: all evidence and no help) and that at some point, someone will be able to trap the essence of someone into a jar to test on it (all in the name of science, right? ugh).
So Melancholy of Souls is about what happens when the dead cannot rest in peace, and only a girl and her father do everything they can to save the soul of a loved one.
You know what they say, right? Leave a review, save an indie author!!
Stay spooked, peeps:)
Since my last call for honest reviews in exchange of free ARCs was such a success for Cursing at the Sky, I thought maybe Lady Luck would hit the second Girls & Ghosts novella!! So here is the official form for those of you who have time to read and review Melancholy of Souls on Amazon and/or Goodreads.
The ebook comes out February 3rd, it reads about 35-ish pages and could be classified as YA paranormal. Thank you for everyone who fills this form, your help is much appreciated:)
Well, 2015 is sure starting with a bang: I’ve begun writing a 10-book series called Whispered Echoes and another Girls & Ghosts novella is *almost* ready to come out! Second story from the collection, Melancholy of Souls will be available on February 3rd, but for those of you who can’t wait…
Dad says we have to do everything to save Mom’s soul, but I’m scared the price will be too high.
Soul Catchers scour the land looking for ghosts to sell on the black market. Amusement parks, mediums, haunted houses and religious cults will pay good money for them, especially when fresh and new. I never really cared about what they did until Mom died and one of those assholes snapped her up. Just this bright light shooting at her soul…
Now Dad’s mind is set on finding her on the lost souls trafficking circuit, but with each step we take death is only getting closer.

Here we go, people – the first novella of the Girls & Ghosts series, Cursing at the Sky, is now available on Amazon only. It’s been called dark and haunting by some, creepy and sad by others, but all in all, I’m really pleased with it. This is a story that needed to be told.
Before the accident and the wheelchair, there were the echoes.
Drug abuse and alcohol are part of Ina’s life; just like the ghosts that haunt her nights. She draws their faces on her bedroom wall, hope this will quiet the echoes of their whispers.
Until the night a car accident changes her life forever.
Now sober and confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life, Ina’s nights are still filled with haunting whispers as the ghosts beg her for help. Desperate for peace, she contemplates returning to the only way she knows to silence them, but her family take their own desperate measures and have her locked away.
Ina must learn what the spirits truly want, or be haunted by their echoes for the rest of her life.
Well, another Halloween passed and spooked. I don’t even want to hear about the next holiday coming up, because I’m still neck deep in ghostly chills and teenage angst. That’s right, november is the most perfect month for writing, which means Whispered Echoes’ last draft should be ready before the end of the year.
This year’s #CoffinHop winner of my paperbacks and Skellies package is Marianne Su. Congrats!!
But first things first: ARCs are ready for those of you interested in reading a free novella in exchange of a review posted on Amazon and/or Goodreads. Launching on November 18th, Cursing at the Sky is the first of my girls & ghosts series – not for the faint of heart, fair warning. If interested to leave a review, please fill in the form, mentioning preferred format in the comment section, and you shall receive the ecopy of my book.
Have a good one, folks. Stay spooked♥
